Natural Zoğal

Natural Zoğal arağı (Mulberry Vodka)

  • Arag, the national alcoholic drink of Azerbaijan, means "white drink". Traditionally made from distillates of dogwood, mulberry or other fruits, it is stronger than grain vodka. The texture of the drink, crystal clear in the light, forms oily so-called “legs” or “tears” on the walls of the glass, which can only be found in very good cognacs.
  • Natural Zoğal arağı is made from dogwood berries, which grow in the Sheki and Gakh mountain regions of Azerbaijan. To prepare 1 liter of this distillate you will need 35 kg of hand-picked berries.
  • It has a transparent color, an oily texture, a characteristic balanced dogwood aroma and a rich, but soft aftertaste.
  • Food compatibility: Pairs well with meat and flour dishes, winter soups and fried lamb. It perfectly complements the taste of such Azerbaijani dishes as Khangal, Khash and Dushbara. Serving temperature 16-18°C.
